Landine Varela specializes in soft IP (most notably trademarks, designs, copyrights and trade names), with a particular focus on litigation. Landine is also experienced in the field of advertising law and unfair competition (including the Dutch ‘slavish imitation’ doctrine).

Landine is a member of the editorial board of the Benelux Trademark and Design Bulletin.

Prior to joining Hofhuis Alkema Groen, Landine worked in the IP/ICT departments of law firms in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Landine obtained both her Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Corporate Law at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Landine has lectured at Erasumus University.

Landine was admitted to the Bar in 2014.
