Julie Visser specializes in soft IP law, with a focus on copyright, trademark and design law.
Julie obtained her bachelor’s in Dutch Law from the University of Amsterdam. During her bachelor’s degree, she was a part of the Honours Programme and spent a semester at Stellenbosch University in South Africa. She then went on to complete a Master’s in Information Law at the University of Amsterdam as well. Her master’s thesis was on the topic of the exclusion of cultural symbols from trademark law.
During her studies Julie focused on developing her litigations skills through participating in various moot courts. She also co-founded the Moot Court Committee for the Amsterdam Law Firm, which is the fictional law firm of the University of Amsterdam. She finalized her academic studies with an internship at a Dutch law firm with one of the leading international IP practices.
Julie was admitted into the Dutch Bar in 2021.
